Terrible experience. Ramps are ridiculous making the carpark unfit for purpose. I don't think they should be allowed to operate it like this.

Apr 6, 2024

The people who are commenting saying its easy to maneuver obviously entered the car park when it was empty. This car park is INSANELY tight. I have a 5 series bmw and it's almost the same width as the ramps. Do not enter this car park if you have a car bigger than a hatchback.

This car park is a joke I used it for just over an hour went to the ticket box payed for my parking a week later received a parking fine for £100 saying I didn't pay appealed against it with proof I did and they just rejected it scam car park DONT USE!

what a horrible car park I had the most stressfull time trying finding a space. unfortunately car park was full so I had to pay £3. for the experience.

Ridiculous car park, too tight, I was lucky to make it out without scratching my car but looking at all the paint marks on the wall many weren't! I'd avoid unless you want to be very stressed!

Ridiculous car park. I haven’t had an issue in 28 years of driving but I’ve scratched my car going up the ramp which was pretty impossible even reversing and trying to re-adjust! Really upset. Avoid at all costs as those ramps are way too narrow.

Extremely narrow and difficult to maneuver in. Additionally charged the full rate for 24 hours instead of a discount rate (from the hotel I was staying in), despite exchanging multiple emails no offer of a refund.

I can't give it a zero star, but I would if I could. Don't bother going here if you want your sanity, hair left or the ability to breathe whilst navigating corners.

Often leave the barriers up and then the pay machines don’t work and then they issue you a parking eye charge for not paying even though it’s literally impossible. £100 or £60 if paid within 14 days.

Terrible worst carpark ever. Unless you are in a Ford KA get ready for formula 1 driver maneuvers or leave with scuff marks. The ramps are far too tight to navigate. Choose trinity square parking instead to avoid all hassle

Terrible car park, tight corners going between floors. Stupid design yet expensive. Good for Ford Ka but a saloon car almost impossible to navigate. Avoid at all costs unless you don't mind visiting the garage for scratches

I missed the turning for the usual multi-story that I park in, so ended up entering upper parliament street parking by mistake. I am a pretty competent driver, and don’t usually have any issues with multi-story carparking, but this carpark is beyond ridiculous. The Ramps are so very tight, I didn’t see a single car get round the ramps without reversing once or twice into position. The ramps are covered in paint and scratch marks, and unfortunately despite me being extremely cautious, I also managed to scrape my wheel arch on the wall on turning down the ramp. I urge anyone to save yourself the stress and just park elsewhere.. although competitively priced, it’s irrelevant when compared to the cost of the bodywork!

This is a great location for a carpark, very close to the Royal Centre, theatre and Concert Hall, and the Old Market Square. What I would say is that there is very limited Blue Badge parking, only 4 spaces out of 256, and these are positioned so the disabled are required to use either the single lift, or the stairs to exit the car park on foot. When the lift is out of action, as it has been recently, it makes it impossible for someone in a wheel chair for instance to get out of the car park. More Blue Badge spaces should be provided and they should be on Level 7 of the car park (NOT level 9) as level 7 has level pedestrian access! I agree the ramps are a little tight, but I always managed my VW Sharan People Carrier without any problems, as long as you take it slow and careful. I'm giving 3 stars because of the lack of Blue Badge parking and it's location in the car park.

Great location. Not too busy either. Turns are tight, but manageable. Drove a long Vito, no problem at all. I strongly recommend everybody who cannot drive to refrain from comments where cars or driving are involved!

Cheap and cheerful location. Very close to the Victoria centre etc. Tight corners on the ramps potential to catch the walls if not careful. I would not recommend this car park to larger family cars. Pay system works via ANPR cameras.

Cheap and close to theatres etc. Although people are complaining of the tightness on the ramps, I've very easily managed to get my huge zafira around them with no scratches whatsoever.

Superb location for the theatres and various eateries. Not very busy at all. Probably due to the reasons in the other reviews. It is very tight around the ramps. BUT if you are a capable driver and take an appropriately wide enough turn into the ramps it is not an issue at all. I managed very easily the manoeuvre a Focus around it and also witnessed a chap in an Audi A7 easily navigate it and that is a very long car. Price is spot on also. Will be using everytime for theatre visits from now on.

AVOID - This is the most ridiculous carpark I have ever used. The ramps between floors are far too tight and you are liable to scratch your car or become completely stuck!

Jan 27, 2018

Avoid if u dont want your car getting scratched. Tightest turns ive ever seen and managed to scratch my brand new car.

Aug 20, 2017

Avoid if possible. Its so cramped and the turns/ramps so tight it just not fun to get in and out. Just pick another car park to save yourself the stress. Andy

Jun 16, 2017

So tight that both myself and the car in front of me had to reverse two or three times in order to get around the corners on the way between the floors as if the car park is busy you simply cant get around it. The car I took has sensors all the way around to stress how difficult it is to enter and exit.

Car park is conveniently located and price are ok. however the curves and turns are so tight that I am unable to drive between floors, not sure what is the legal requirement, however it looks like that Car-park is only few yards wide (only 10-15 cars per floor) with 8 floors and therefore they hv tried to save every inch. I hv been driving for 27 years and my averaged sized cross-over stuck twice, luckily I didn't scratched it any where as I was very cautious. If you hv a Nissan Micra or similar or a flexible car that can bent in V-shape, plz try this ridiculous car park.

A good centrally located car park with many levels. Corners are very tight! Luckiy I haven't scratched my rather long peugeot 407 estate but on seeing the multicolour paint streaks on the walls, many are not so fortunate. We take a small car in and it is fine. Pricing is very reasonable, probably the best in Nottingham but beware if you have a large car!
